What data we collect
We collect minimal data. Specifically:
- Analytics data: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data or track you across websites. No cookie consent banner is needed because no cookies are set. Plausible collects only aggregate, anonymised page view data.
- Email address: If you choose to submit your email via our contact or email capture forms, we store it to send you relevant information about the tool and partner services. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Shortlist (browser only): Your saved shortlist is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the “email my shortlist” feature.
How we use your data
- To understand how the tool is used in aggregate (Plausible analytics)
- To send you information you have requested (if you provided your email)
- To introduce you to partner services relevant to your enquiry, where you have consented
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your email with third parties without your explicit consent.

We only partner with services we consider relevant and useful for our audience. Affiliate relationships do not influence our town rankings or scores.

Data retention
Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Plausible analytics data is retained for 2 years by Plausible on our behalf, in aggregate form only. We do not retain any other personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
